Midwifery clients have the choice of home or hospital for their births.
We currently have privileges at the Queensway Carleton Hospital in west Ottawa, and Almonte General Hospital in Almonte. At both hospitals, midwives are able to practice within their full scope. This means that if clients require an induction/augmentation of labour or epidural analgesia, your midwife will most often remain your primary care provider. At both of these hospitals we benefit from positive working relationships with the obstetrical/medical staff.

Due our location and large urban and rural catchment area, we do NOT hold privileges at the Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre.
